Morning Meeting – “Breakfast with Barack Obama”. On the Work of Willem Popelier
We meet Barack Obama for breakfast. The New York Times has repeatedly praised the 44th President of the United States’ great oratory skills, his rhetorical power of persuasion, and his unwavering optimism. Willem Popelier has compiled Obama’s speeches in words and images: In addition to transcripts of all his speeches, the Dutch photographer also presents a wealth of stills from the president’s weekly addresses in a video installation.
These will be examined and discussed together in light of current global political trends. Afterward, there will be a presidential “morning power” snack.
The event takes place at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.
